1st Sunday in Month

8am

Book of Common Prayer

Communion Service

30 minutes, with no hymns

All are welcome, but there are more accessible services.

The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) dates to 1662, and the words and prayers are written in English of that period.

Many people find the particular style of language helpful to them, as the words often have a rhythm of their own.   This rhythm in turn, assists some some people, as they contemplate their life in the world and their relationship with God.

2nd Sunday in Month

10am

Parish Eucharist

1hr, 10 mins, hymns with refreshments afterwards

The youngest in the congregation are regularly under 7 years old; the oldest 90 years young.

We also have a family corner located to the back of the church.  At the front of the church is

This is a modern Common Worship Parish Communion Service, and the words in the service are modern.

The service does have a formal structure, but we believe that is conducted in a way that prevents the formality of the service from being oppressive ‘a formal service, with rounded edges’.

Weekdays

Tuesdays and Thursdays

1st Tuesday in Month

7pm

New Start

30 minutes, no hymns

Everybody is welcome to this service, and it is accessible to all

This service provides an opportunity to reset our relationship with God and one another at the beginning of a new month.   In times of quiet, there is an opportunity to confess any things we wish, to God.

A powerful, yet simple act of worship this service is conducted within the framework of a Holy Communion service.   Besides the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Jesus body and blood, , there is also the opportunity at this service to be anointed with Holy Oil.   In this situation, the anointing with oil is an outward sign of the mercy God shows on all of us.

2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Tuesday in Month

This is a modern Common Worship Parish Communion Service, and the words in the service are modern.

Whilst similar to the Sunday 10am service, the much shorter length facilitates a more mediative opportunity to come and pray and receive Christ Jesus in a restful atmosphere.
