Annual General Meeting in 2020
Changes on account of COVID-19
Many of us have become accustomed to the changes to our lives brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. This has had significant affects on the life of parish churches.
In the light of postponements earlier in the year, the charitable status of the PCC stipulates that we must (as usual) hold the annual general meeting. This is what the annual vestry meeting and the annual parochial meeting amount to.
AGM Arrangements in Parishes
In each of the parishes that comprise the Chesil Churches, these meetings will go ahead -in some form or another.
Currently, St Mary Chickerell AGM will be he’d on the 18th October 2020, with Holy Trinity Fleet holding these on the 19th October 2020.
Both parishes will circulate details of the meetings -including nomination forms- closer to the meeting.
The parishes of Abbotsbury, Portesham and Langton Herring will; give details of their AGM dates in the coming weeks
Electoral Roll Forms and Nomination Forms
In order to vote at an AGM and (and stand for a position), you must be listed on the church electoral roll.
Prior to the Annual Meeting, the church electoral roll is opened for new applications. The electoral roll is completely renewed every 6 years. If you are would like to apply to inclusion on the electoral roll, please download the appropriate form located on the left of this page. Then return to Jeremy or Margaret.
Should you have any queries, please contact a member of the clergy.
